1. Competition name
Otter Trail Competition 2026
2. Promoter’s name
2.1. This competition is run by Momentum Multiply (Pty) Ltd (“Multiply”), an entity within Momentum Group Limited, with reg no 2014/188245/07, having its principal place of business at 268 West Avenue, Centurion, 0157 (herein referred to as “Multiply”).
2.2. This competition is run in collaboration with Base2Summits, reg no 2018/562276/07 (herein referred to as “Base2Summits”).
2.3. In these rules, we refer to the above promoter(s) as “the promoter(s)”, “us”, “we”, or “our”. We will refer to participants as “you” or “your”.
3. The competition offer
3.1. There are five (5) double tickets which can be won by eligible Momentum Multiply members (“Members”) to take part in an organised Otter Trail hiking experience with Saray Khumalo, located in the Western Cape (the “Prize”).
3.2. Each winner will receive a prize, for themselves and one (1) other Multiply member, sponsored by Momentum Multiply.
3.3. The Prize includes access to and entry into the Otter Trail hike, meals provided during the hike, and participation in the hiking experience led by Saray Kumalo, as organised by the promoters.
3.4. The Prize excludes all costs, items and expenses not expressly stated in clause 3.3 above, including but not limited to hiking gear and equipment, flights, ground transportation, accommodation outside of the hike trail, insurance, medical expenses, personal expenses, incidental costs, and any optional or additional activities.
4. Competition period
4.1. The start date and time is from 8 April 2026 at 00:01 to 22 May 2026 at 23:59.
4.2. The Prize is valid and redeemable from 10 July 2026.
5. How to participate
5.1. A member must opt into the mandatory 10-week training programme specified by the promoters and meet the eligibility criteria, contained in such training programme. Upon opting into the training programme, a member will be entered into the competition.
5.2. A member can get two additional entries if they share their story via video or written submission on the MultiplyCONNECT Facebook community, with requirements communicated via official Multiply channels.
6. Eligibility
6.1. To participate in this competition, you must be:
6.1.1. A natural person who is 18 years or older;
6.1.2. A South African citizen or a permanent resident in the Republic of South Africa;
6.1.3. In possession of a valid South African ID book, South African driving license or valid passport for identification purposes;
6.1.4. A Momentum Multiply Inspire Plus or Engage Plus main member or partner/spouse or adult dependant (“member”);
6.1.5. Have a linked fitness tracking device;
6.1.6. Have a valid Healthy Heart Score at the time of the draw; and
6.1.7. Have a fitness level of 3, 4 or 5 at the time of the draw. The fitness level must have been received in the last six (6) months.
7. Exclusions
7.1. This competition is not available for the following members:
7.1.1. Members who do not meet the eligibility criteria above in paragraph 6;
7.1.2. The following persons may not take part in this competition even if they qualify to take part. They will forfeit (give up) any prizes awarded to them:
- Any employee of the promoter(s);
- Any director, member, partner, agent of, or consultant of the promoter(s);
- Any other person who directly or indirectly controls the promoter(s); and
- The spouse, life partner, siblings, children, or parents of any of the persons named in the points above.
8. Winner selection
8.1. An independent verification agent with no affiliation or relation to the Prize given will draw five (5) winners at random selection from all eligible entries by 25 May 2026.
8.2. In addition, two backup winners will be drawn.
9. Winner announcement
9.1. The winner’s contact details will be obtained from the entries received.
9.2. Momentum Multiply will inform the winner telephonically or via email within two working days after his/her name has been drawn that he/she has won the Prize.
9.3. If winners cannot be contacted after three attempts over three working days, then the next backup winner will be contacted, and their prize will be forfeited and allocated to that backup winner.
9.4. We will announce the winners on the following platforms: Facebook.com/MultiplyRSA, twitter.com/MultiplyRSA & Instagram.com/MultiplyRSA
10. Cancellation
If a member’s Multiply membership is terminated for whatever reason after being entered into the competition but before the winner announcement is made, the relevant entry to the competition will be declared invalid.
11. Privacy
11.1. You understand and agree that to offer this competition, we may collect and use your personal information. This personal information may include your first name, last name, email address, mobile number and, in certain instances, your image.
11.2. Your Active Dayz data will be shared with Anca Wessels Biokineticists to follow your progress on the 10-week training programme.
11.3. Personal information which you provide during this competition may, subject to prevailing law, be used for future marketing activity unless you notify us that you wish to opt out of receiving such marketing communications.
11.4. For more information on how we treat your personal information, please refer to Momentum’s Privacy Policy which can be found on our website, or you can contact us to request a copy.
12. General
12.1. By entering the competition, you agree to abide by the terms and conditions of this competition.
12.2. In the unlikely event of a dispute, Momentum Multiply’s decision shall be final and binding on all aspects of this promotional competition, and no correspondence will be entered into
12.3. Momentum Multiply cannot guarantee the performance of any third party and shall not be liable for any act of default by a third party.
12.4. The laws of the Republic of South Africa govern this competition/campaign.
12.5. If any provision or part of these terms, conditions and/or rules is deemed void or otherwise unenforceable in law, then that provision or part shall be deemed excluded, and the remainder of these terms, conditions and rules shall remain in force.
12.6. Any violation of these rules will result in the immediate disqualification of the transgressing participant from the competition.
12.7. You indemnify us from and against loss, damage, costs, expenses, and liabilities which you may suffer or incur arising from or as a result of using this competition, provided such loss did not arise due to the gross negligence or wilful misconduct of Momentum Multiply, their affiliates, agents and/or representatives.
12.8. Unless we say otherwise, you must be 18 years of age and older to participate in the competition and must be pre-selected.
12.9. The competition prize may not be sold or given to someone else.
12.10. The competition prize cannot be exchanged for a different campaign/competition or reward/s.
12.11. This prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or any other item.
12.12. You cannot use this competition together with any other Multiply promotion/competition.
12.13. Momentum Multiply shall not be liable where the competition, the prize, or any component thereof is delayed, postponed, cancelled, curtailed, rescheduled or rendered impracticable as a result of events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to adverse weather conditions, environmental or natural hazards, acts of God, governmental restrictions, safety concerns, force majeure events, or any circumstances that may pose a risk to the health or safety of participants. In such circumstances, the prize (or any affected portion thereof) may be withdrawn, cancelled or forfeited, in whole or in part, at Momentum Multiply’s discretion, without any obligation to provide an alternative prize, compensation or refund, and participants shall have no claim of any nature against Momentum Multiply arising therefrom.
13. Rule amendments
13.1. These terms, conditions and/or rules cannot be modified or superseded except by us, in our reasonable and sole discretion, in a written revision to these rules posted on multiply.co.za, other campaign/competition communication methods used by Momentum Multiply.
13.2. Momentum Multiply reserves the right to amend, modify, cancel or withdraw any aspect of this competition/campaign in its sole discretion at any time without notice or liability.
13.3. In the event of such termination, all entrants/participants agree to waive any rights that they may have in terms of this competition and acknowledge that they will have no recourse against the promoter, its agents or employees.

15.2. You may not attempt to do anything to change the outcome of this competition/campaign in any way.
15.3. Any violation, minor transgression, and any attempt or whatever may be deemed to be of the same value by the promoter will automatically result in disqualification.
15.4. The clauses in these terms, conditions and rules are severable.
15.5. Where any dates or times need to be calculated in terms of this document, the international standard time: GMT plus two hours will be used.
15.6. While the promoter/s may allow you extra time to comply with your obligations or decide not to exercise any or all of your rights or waive certain requirements, the promoter/s can still insist on strict application of any of its rights at a later stage.
