The good news! We've lowered the daily step count needed to earn Active Dayz - from 10 000 to just 8 500. We've worked closely with SSISA and 8 500 steps still has health benefits, such as a lower risk of premature death and cardiovascular disease.
The even better news? In 2026, you’ll have seven different ways to earn Active Dayz. We’re here to recognise your efforts to move and stay active. Whether you’re into yoga, strength training, running, or simply walking the dog, every move counts, and your efforts deserve to be rewarded.
This is how we’ll calculate your Active Dayz in 2026
First, we’ll determine your max heart rate by subtracting your age from 220.
We’ll then use a percentage of your max heart rate to see if you’re exercising at a high, moderate or low intensity.
Once you know what your average heart rate should be, we’re giving you 7 ways to earn Active Dayz:
When you do the combo activities, you can do the qualifying activities throughout the day. For example, you can do your 5 000 steps during the day and then add a 20-minute moderate intensity workout.
Remember to link your device on the app to make sure that your activities are tracked.
