1. Purpose
The purpose of these terms and conditions is to give you information and guidelines on how the Multiply wallet for Multiply Engage and Engage Plus members, will work.
2. Parties and/or participants
2.1. Momentum Multiply – refers to Momentum Multiply Proprietary Limited herein referred to as “We” or “Us” or “Our” or “Momentum Multiply”.
2.2. Member – refers to main member; partner/spouse; adult dependant; child dependant herein referred to us as “you” or “your”.
3. Acceptance of these terms and conditions
3.1. By using the Multiply wallet, you agree to have read, understood and accepted these rules. You also agree to the Momentum Multiply General Programme Rules and all the different sets of terms and conditions related to digital channel usage, privacy policy, status and tiers, partner terms and conditions (channel and product).
3.2. These rules will apply to and bind all Momentum Multiply member(s). Dependants on your membership are also bound by these general rules. Any rule that applies to the main member, will therefore also apply to dependants.
4. Multiply wallet general information
4.1. The Multiply wallet is available to all Engage and Engage Plus members and will be activated once a member has earned their first cashbacks.
4.2. Multiply Engage and Engage Plus members can earn cashbacks from approved Multiply online shop partners as well as at healthcare providers and selected health-approved partners. You can find these partners listed on the Info Hub on multiply.co.za under Multiply wallet.
4.3.1. You can pay with the scan to pay function on the Multiply app at the following healthcare providers:
4.3.1.1. Doctors, hospitals, and pharmacies;
4.3.1.2. Dentists and orthodontists;
4.3.1.3. Medical services, medical and dental laboratories;
4.3.1.4. Medical, dental, ophthalmic and hospital equipment and suppliers;
4.3.1.5. Orthopaedic goods, such as prosthetic devices;
4.3.1.6. Osteopaths, chiropractors, chiropodists, and podiatrists;
4.3.1.7. Optometrists, ophthalmologists, opticians, optical goods, and prescription glasses;
4.3.1.8. Nursing and personal care;
4.3.1.9. Ambulance services;
4.3.1.10. Hearing aid sales and supplies; and
4.3.1.11. Veterinary services.
4.3.2. You will also be able to spend your cashbacks in-store at Clicks and Dis-Chem pharmacies.
5. Eligibility for the Multiply wallet
5.1. The Multiply wallet is applicable to Multiply Engage and Engage Plus members only.
5.2. Only principal members can access and make use of the Multiply wallet.
6. Validity
6.1. Should your Momentum Multiply membership be cancelled or terminated, you/the member will no longer have access to the Multiply wallet and any cashbacks not used will be forfeited.
7. Functionality of the Multiply wallet
7.1. The Multiply wallet is found, accessed, and utilised by principal members through the Multiply app, via the scan to pay option.
7.2. All transactions of the Multiply wallet are facilitated through the Multiply app, transactions include:
7.2.1. earning of cashbacks;
7.2.2. spending of funds within the Multiply app; and
7.2.3. viewing of balances.
7.3. A rewards statement for the Multiply wallet will be available on the Multiply app under the rewards section for all principal members to view their earn and spend transactions and balances.
7.3. There will be one wallet per membership in which all cashbacks earned across the membership will be paid into.
7.4. All partner cashbacks earned will be paid into the Multiply wallet.
7.5. The Multiply wallet can only be accessed and utilised by the principal member. The principal member will have access to view earn and spend transactions, view wallet balances and access scan-to-pay on the Multiply app to spend from the Multiply wallet.
7.6. The creation of the Multiply wallet will be triggered once the first cashbacks has been earned.
7.7. Cashbacks will be paid within 48 hours; however, processing may take up to 72 hours.
7.8. No interest is earned on positive balances in your Multiply wallet.
7.9 The principal member must follow the prompts on the Multiply app, to make a payment from the Multiply wallet using the scan-to-pay function on the Multiply app.
7.10. Transactions that are submitted at a time where there are insufficient funds within the Multiply wallet shall be declined and members must use an alternative payment method.
8. Fees and charges
8.2. A fee of R0,75 will be charged on each spend transaction from the Multiply wallet.
8.3. For a spend transaction to be approved, there must be sufficient funds in the Multiply wallet for the purchase including the spend transaction fee of R0,75.
9. Limitations and restrictions
9.1. The Multiply wallet will be opened for the principal member only and all cashbacks earned across the family composition will be paid into this wallet.
9.2. The Multiply wallet only applies to Multiply Engage and Engage Plus members.
9.3. The Multiply Wallet is interest-free and therefore interest is not applicable.
9.4. Momentum Multiply shall not be responsible for the verification of the identity of the recipient account holder.
9.5. Transactions cannot be reversed or payments corrected.
9.6. The Multiply wallet cannot be used for:
9.6.1. Electronic fund transfers
9.6.2. Withdrawals
9.6. We will not be liable for any loss or damage which a Multiply wallet user incurs, suffers or attracts (including, without limitation, any direct, indirect, special, incidental or consequential damages, whether arising out of contract, statute or delict or otherwise and regardless of whether we were expressly advised of the possibility of such loss or damage) arising of the following:
9.6.1. A member mistake;
9.6.2. Unauthorised use of a member’s Multiply wallet;
9.6.2. Duplicated transactions, when giving an instruction to the Multiply app/wallet;
9.4.5. Providing incorrect information to the contact centre agents when instructing them to assist in transacting for you; and
9.6.6. Fraudulent transactions.
9.7. You are fully responsible for any tax implications arising from or cashbacks received, accumulated, or spent using the Multiply wallet.
10. Apps
10.1. All engagement for Momentum Multiply Engage and Engage Plus will take place on the Momentum Multiply app or have access to the Momentum Multiply app through the Momentum app.

10.5. Once you’ve downloaded the respective app, you need to register a profile. You will be able to view all your health and membership details on your private profile.
10.6. Please note the Momentum Multiply app terms and conditions will apply, members can find these on the Momentum Multiply app.
11. Termination and cancellation
11.3. The Momentum Multiply membership and Multiply wallet will be terminated when the main member cancels the Momentum Medical Scheme product linked to the Momentum Multiply product.
11.2. Should a member cancel their paid membership, the member will be downgraded to the free membership (Multiply Engage), the member shall retain access to their Multiply wallet.
11.3. On termination date of the medical scheme membership, all access to the Multiply wallet will cease and no refunds of any fees paid, or cashbacks earned will be permitted. Refer to the Momentum Multiply General Programme Rules for details.
11.3. Any cashbacks contained in the Multiply wallet that is not used at the date of termination will be forfeited.
11.3. You will still have access to the Multiply wallet if you cancel your paid membership and are downgraded from Multiply Engage Plus to Multiply Engage.
11.3. Momentum Multiply may cancel or suspend your benefit upon investigation proving one of the below:
11.3.1. You breach any of the rules of Momentum Multiply; or
11.3.2. You are using the benefit(s) of the programme in an abusive and/or fraudulent manner.
11.4. Momentum Multiply may cancel your benefit upon conclusion investigation proving one of the abovementioned breaches.
12. Change to the terms, conditions and rules
12.1. Momentum Multiply may, in its sole discretion and at any time, amend these rules and/or any business rules associated with them in any manner whatsoever. Such amendments may include, but shall not be limited to, amendments to the amounts and percentages referred to in these rules as well as changing the model of the Momentum Multiply programme.
12.2. Momentum Multiply will publish the amended terms and conditions on Momentum Multiply digital channels or any other manner as Momentum Multiply may determine in its sole discretion.
12.3. Members will be provided with thirty days prior notice to any amendments and if the Member continues to use the Momentum Multiply benefits at the end of the notice period (effective date), members will be deemed to have accepted the amendments.
13. Important disclosures and legal matters
13.1. If you fail to comply with any part of these rules, you will forfeit any benefit(s).
13.2. Should we not exercise some or all of our rights or waive certain requirements shall not be seen as a waiver of our rights or deprive us from insisting on strict adherence to those terms or any other term at a later stage. You must not assume that this means that the rules have been changed or that it no longer applies to you.
13.3. Momentum Multiply is not responsible/liable for any unauthorised human or technical intervention, or for any transactions that is not processed, executed, saved or transmitted, regardless of the cause.
13.4. Momentum Multiply may at its sole discretion decide who may participate in the digital screening.
13.5. Any benefit allocated to you considers prevailing legislation and/or any applicable practice. In the event of a change in the applicable legislation and/or practice, Momentum Multiply reserves the right to adjust the benefits accordingly without any reasonable notice to you.
13.6. If one or more of these rules is invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, such portions will be severable from the body and it will not impact on the validity of remaining rules, which will stay valid.
13.7. Members may not transfer or cede or exchange or sell membership, benefit or reward rights to another person.
14. Personal information and privacy
14.1 Momentum Multiply will handle your right to privacy according to the rules and regulations as stipulated here.
14.2 You will be asked to agree to certain privacy settings when registering a profile on the Momentum or Momentum Multiply app. These privacy settings can be updated at any time.
14.3 Your assessment results will be kept confidential and will only be shared with the relevant third parties with your consent. We will not share your results with other members. This will only be visible on your dashboard after you’ve logged in to the app.

16. Definitions
16.1. Adult dependant means dependants 18 years and older.
16.2. Child dependant means persons aged 17 years and below.
16.3. Momentum Multiply General Programme Rules shall mean the main terms, conditions and rules for the Momentum Multiply Programme which will apply to all Momentum Multiply users who utilise and accept these Multiply wallet rules.
16.4. Wellness information and personal data shall mean all information and measurements that could be collected, whether through the camera that measures certain vital statistics such as heart rate, respiration*, oxygen saturation* heart rate variability and blood pressure*; and the answers to questions relating to age, gender, medication taken, height, weight and identity number. The measured vital signs are not intended for medical use, including self-diagnosis or consultation with a doctor, and are only designed for general fitness and wellness purposes.
*NOTE that measurements for respiration, oxygen saturation (Sp02) and blood pressure are only available on Android and Huawei smartphones.
16.5. Multiply wallet means a facility for all partner cashbacks to be paid into for Engage and Engage Plus principal members.
16.6. Transaction shall mean either spend transactions and earn transactions completed on the Multiply wallet.
16.7. Spend transaction means any payment transaction made by the principal member from the Multiply wallet.
16.7. Earn transaction means any transaction that has earned the members partner cashbacks.
17. Interpretation
17.1. In these rules, the singular always refers to plural, as well as the other way around. In these rules references to the masculine gender shall include the feminine.
17.2. The headings in this agreement will not affect the interpretation of it.
